Oxalis
There were purple flowers in the back of the flower bed on the right side of staff and visitors’ entrance, no one seemed to notice it.
Oxalis is a plant with more than 800 varieties of plants around the world. There are one-year grass that bloom and wither, and perennials that bloom every year.
It is known to make bulbs and species that become shrubs.
There are various forms and properties depending on the region, such as flowering period, grass appearance, flower color, size and so on, because of it is distributed in various regions all over the world.
A name of Oxalis is derived from oxys, which means "acidic" in Greek. Oxalis has oxalic acid in leaves and stems and it is sour.

オキザリス
　深野中学校の職員・来客用玄関の右側の花壇の奥に、誰にも気づかれることがなさそうなところにポツンと紫色の花が咲いていました。
　オキザリスは、世界中に800種類以上が分布する植物です。花を咲かせて枯れてしまう一年草と、毎年花を咲かせる多年草があります。球根を作るものや、低木になる種も知られています。
　世界中の色々な地域に分布しているので、地域によって様々な形態や性質があり、開花期、草姿、花色、大きさなどは様々です。
　オキザリスの名前はギリシア語で「酸性」を意味するオクシスに由来します。葉や茎にシュウ酸が含まれて酸っぱいところがあります。
