Today is Mother's Day.

Speaking of Mother's Day, it is a carnation, but why carnation?
Also, why is Mother's day the second Sunday in May?

Mother's Day, which expressed gratitude to my mother, was introduced in the 1912 era and spread. From around 1949, it became the second Sunday in May following the American.
The origins of Mother's Day in the United States were on May 12, 1907, when Anna Jarvis, the daughter of Anne Jarvis, who worked to improve sanitation for wounded soldiers on the battlefield, decorated the altar with a white carnation that her mother liked, in the church where her mother was a teacher in support of her late mother.
On May 10, 1908, 470 students and mothers celebrated Mother's Day at the same church.
Anna also handed a white carnation to all the participants. This made the white carnation a symbol of Mother's Day, and in 1914 the United States established the second Sunday of May as "Mother's Day" as the anniversary.

What color do you want to give on Mother's Day?
Red
(Flower word) "Mother's love", "Believe in love", "Fervent love"
It is a perfect flower word for Mother's Day. Speaking of red, it is a color that images "passion". It's perfect for Mother's Day.
Pink
(Flower word) "Gratitude", "Elegance and elegance", "Warm heart", "Beautiful gesture"
It is a flower word perfect for Mother's Day. I want to give it to my mother who likes pink.
Orange
(Flower word) "Pure love", "Passion", "Pure longing"
It is a wonderful flower word that you can feel love, but it may be for the color that you give to your mother from your lover or father rather than your mother.
Purple
(Flower word) "Pride" "Elegance"
It is purple of elegant image. I want to give it to a mother who likes purple with an elegant and elegant image.
White
(Flower word) "Respect", "Love of chastity", "Respect for the late mother"
At first thing, it is a perfect flower word for Mother's Day, but it is said that "I will outsejor my late mother", and in the United States, "The person who lost my mother was distinguished from a white carnation", so if you are a mother who loves white ... It may be good, but be careful.
Yellow
(Flower word) "Contempt", "Beauty", "Jealousy"
Yellow carnation is pale and nice to look at, but it may be better to avoid it because the flower language is negative.

Anyway, even if it is not a carnation, I think it would be a wonderful day if you say "thank you" purely to your mother. I hope today will be a wonderful time for you.

Today is Children's Day.

画像1 画像1
How are you doing on the last day of a large consecutive holiday (Golden Week)?
Do you have a stay home during holiday?
Are third graders ready for tomorrow's test?

May 5th is Children's Day. 73 years ago, in 1948, Children's Day was established. Under the National Holidays Act, it is said that it is a day to "respect the personality of the child, to live the happiness of the child, and to thank the mother". It was not only a celebration of children, but also a day to thank mothers.
By the way, this year's "Mother's Day" is May 9th.

Children's Day is also the “Tango no Sekku”. “Tango no Sekku” is one of the five “Sekku”. We think that there are many people who recognize March 3rd as "Joushi no Sekku (Sekku of Peach)" and a festival against it.
“Tango no Sekku” is a traditional event that has been held since a long time ago (around the Heian period), and it is said that it was originally an event to avoid diseases and disasters (bad ones).
In addition, “Tango no Sekku” is called "Sekku of Iris" because it is an iris flower that blooms at this time of year. The fragrance of this iris flower is very strong, and it has been treated as a medicinal herb that exorcises evil from a long time ago. As a result, we hope for disease-free health by soaking in a bath of irises at “Tango no Sekku”.
Children's Day is a traditional event that lasts from ancient China to the present day. Please take a bath of irises today and spend a meaningful stay home on the last day of a large consecutive holiday (Golden Week).
